Second Year International Director

Margaret Wan, DTM is dedicated to helping others succeed, within and outside of the Toastmasters organization. She is a management consultant. She helps businesses increase profits by improving productivity, making efficient use of limited financial and human resources, and providing a safe and healthy workplace. In Toastmasters, she has discovered the opportunity of helping others to grow as she also achieves self-improvement. As District 47 Governor 2003-2004, she worked with her team to lead their district to President's Distinguished District, ranking No. 6 out of 75 districts in the world. She has demonstrated effective leadership in business and in Toastmasters.

Margaret's motto is "Learning is a Journey." After receiving two master's degrees and two bachelors degrees in diverse disciplines, she graduated in 2006 with a PhD degree in Public Health / Industrial Hygiene from the University of South Florida. She applies the same philosophy in Toastmasters and has achieved four Distinguished Toastmaster awards.

As an International Director from Region VIII for 2006-2008, Margaret pledges to work on behalf of all members to help them discover and achieve their potential for personal growth. She strongly believes that the districts can be Distinguished only if the clubs and the members are successful in reaching their goals. Service to members is her priority. Please do not hesitate to contact her if she can assist you in any way in your Toastmasters experience.
