Lee and Catherine are both active in Toastmasters .  Catherine is a member of Horizon Toastmasters, the current Vice President of Membership for the Club, and a member of  Atlanta MasterCrafters . She also served as the 2006-2007 District Secretary.  Lee is a member of 3 clubs - Horizon, Atlanta MasterCrafters , and Cingular Expressions .  Lee has served in most Club offices, including President of three different clubs, leading all three to President's Distinguished status.  He is currently the Vice President of Education for both Horizon and Atlanta MasterCrafters.

Lee is a graduate of Furman University with a B.A. in Sociology and holds two professional designations - Certified Employee Benefit Specialist and Senior Professional in Human Resources.  He is currently the Senior Manager of Health & Welfare Benefits Design for AT&T Mobility (formerly Cingular Wireless)  in Atlanta.

Lee and Catherine's daughter and son-in-law, Katrina & Jake Hester , live in Greenville, SC. Katrina is in her fifth year as a high school English teacher.  She previously taught English at Clemson University for 4 years. Jake is employed by United Health Group as a financial analyst.  Jake has won first place twice and second place once in recent years in AutoCross competition in SC.

Their son and daughther-in-law, Trey & Theresa (Kelley) Holliday , live in Spartanburg, SC.  Trey is employed with the Travel Center of America in Duncan, SC.  Theresa works for the Spartanburg County Library and is completing her college degree in elementary education.

Lee's youngest sister, Elizabeth , has been living with them since July, 2005.  She is finishing high school here in Georgia and is exploring her future career options.  Elizabeth has tremendous art talent and plays the piano, flute and piccolo.

In addition, they have 3 boys and a girl at home.

  • Harry is a pound pup.  He's a mix between a Springer Spaniel and a Labrador Retriever.  He weighs about 40 pounds and is Lee's best buddy!
  • Toby 's full name is Tobias Jackson Holliday.  He is a registered Golden Retriever that came to live with them as a 10 week old puppy in August 2002.  Catherine calls Toby a love sponge.
  • T.J. stands for Thomas Jefferson.  This loving yellow tabby got his name because he was born on July 4, 2002, the anniversary of Jefferson's birth and death.  Interestingly, T.J. and Toby came home with Catherine and Lee the same weekend.  As kitten and puppy, they cuddled, played, and slept with each other.  Now as 12-pound cat and 60-pound dog, they still play together often and sleep together occasionally!
  • Lucy came to live with them in October 2006.  Elizabeth found her abandoned next to a convenience store dumpster and rescued her.  She is a long-hair white and yellow cat and is the most mischievous one of the bunch!

Lee looks forward to the success of each of the "Mighty Seven" Districts as they pursue their dreams, goals, and ambitions with passion!
