District Governor
Jim Miller, DTM is the District Governor for District 84. He has served the District as LGM and LGET, as well as District Webmaster for several years and Region VIII webmaster for eight years. Before District 84 split from District 47, Jim served as District 47’s webmaster from 2002 -2008. Web design is not his profession (he is self taught), however it has become a strong interest due to the opportunity presenting itself in Toastmasters. Technical sales has been central in his career over the years, however Jim has also been engaged in electronics engineering and commercial broadcast.
1999 was the beginning of his Toastmasters career; he achieved Distinguished Toastmaster in 2002. Twice named District 47’s Toastmaster of the Year, he continues to serve the organization, his District, and his club. He knows that Toastmasters presents a tremendous learning opportunity in a multitude of areas, and that most of these areas of learning are discovered in leadership roles.
