Welcome to Region 8! Dave Hollingshead is your second year International Director. Cindy Cannon is your Region Advisor for the year 2011-2012. It is our privilege to serve you, the members, in any way that we can. We are all about Toastmasters. Our goals are the same goals as Toastmasters International’s goals. Toastmasters will be rolling out a new brand on August 17th at the International Convention. We will share all the information with you once it is announced. This website is going to be a portal to you and the districts in Region 8. The purpose of this website is to share information and tidbits and most importantly to learn from each other. We will post a calendar of Dave’s and Cindy’s visits to your districts and all the events that Toastmasters has going on throughout the year. We will post a lot of ideas that will come from the entire region sharing successful tips on membership growth and education goals. We will share problems that we have in the clubs, too. We also will post the statistics for the region by districts. We want you to know where you are all year long, i.e., how many members you have, how many members you need, how many new clubs that you have and how many new clubs that you need, etc. We want to learn best practices from each other. We want to meet our goals but more importantly, we want to serve our members in any way that we can. Look at Region 8’s district leaders and see who is serving you this year.
